The Android operating system periodically receives updates and patches detailed in online publications called Android Security Bulletins. In the March 2025 edition, Google announced that 43 malicious bugs had been resolved, two of which were zero-day vulnerabilities.
Let’s talk about how to implement these fixes and why this is a practice that should reach every aspect of your business’ IT.
If you haven’t already received a notification to install this update by the time you read this, one is likely forthcoming. Google distributes patches to the Android Open Source Project and its proprietary Pixel phones while advising other mobile manufacturers to implement them.
If you aren’t sure whether or not your device is up-to-date, you can find your Android version in the About phone section or check System > Software update or System update. You may be prompted to download and install an update as you do so.
At FRS Pros, we always endorse businesses to mindfully test and implement updates as they are released in all cases… not just those that influence your mobile device. Any piece of business technology will be subject to updates very much like those that Google has pushed to Android—some intended for quality of life improvements, others for security.
For whatever reason they are released, businesses must keep up with these updates to remain competitive.
Of course, the process of testing and properly implementing them can be time-consuming and sometimes overly complicated. It’s better to rely on a professional to manage your IT.
As an IT provider that serves Nationwide, we’re committed to providing businesses with comprehensive business technology services. This includes monitoring and maintaining your business’ tools and ensuring that updates are correctly applied in all cases.
